I am Chad Stahl and I’ve been doing taxidermy since 2003. I began as most taxidermists do, through trial and error. I took pictures and studied the detail of any mounted and live animals I could see while visiting veteran taxidermists, museums, and zoos. Also, when I go on hunting and fishing trips, I study my harvests. I am always trying to improve my next specimens. I am an avid fisherman and hunter with great love, admiration, and respect for the great outdoors. In 2002, a good friend of mine who was a minister and hobbyist taxidermy artist taught me to mount my very first Largemouth Bass. With great thanks to him, WaterWorld Taxidermy was born!
Learning how to do this art on my own was satisfying, but I wanted to learn more. I enrolled in the Western Pennsylvania School of Taxidermy in 2006. The school emphasized that attention to detail and knowledge of anatomy is very important in wildlife art and taxidermy. I spent two full months, from 7am to as late as 7pm, in classes improving on my skills and eventually becoming a highly skilled, highly qualified taxidermist. Marc Jordan, a very gifted man in this art form, was my instructor. Taxidermy school was a big blessing for me. With the teachings and experience I received in school and since, I know I can deliver to you, the customer, a top quality trophy mount that you can enjoy for many years to come. At WaterWorld Taxidermy we want to help you make your hunting and fishing memories last forever. We offer a wide variety of services for you to take advantage of. Your animals can be mounted in many creative ways to best capture your experiences. From hand-built habitat bases for your fish and smaller animals to table bases for your larger heads, we can put together a mount to suit your style. Full mountings, like deer and bears, require some extra preparation on your part. Please be sure to read our field care tips to help us insure that your animal arrives in the best possible condition and therefore can be turned into the best possible mount. We would be happy to answer any questions you may have before or after hunting, so please give us a call and we'll get you any information you need. If an animal requires tags or permits to hunt, you must present those before we can begin any mounting. WaterWorld Taxidermy is now open full time year round. I am committed to returning your completed mount ready to hang on your wall in six months or less. Rest assured, getting your own animal back is never an issue with us. In addition to full taxidermy mount services, I have all the latest equipment to do in-house hide tanning. Thank You for visiting WaterWorld Taxidermy. Happy Hunting! | |
